Background:
Our team received an urgent call from a new client who faced a severe issue with their server, they were unable to access any of their files.
Upon investigation, we discovered that their server files had been encrypted by a ransomware attack, rendering their files inaccessible. Due to the uniqueness and unprecedented nature of the ransomware strain, no decryption solution was available to restore their files.
Regrettably, the client had no existing backup solution in place, leaving them with the difficult choice of either paying the ransom or losing their critical data permanently.
Objective:
To implement an all-encompassing backup solution that fortifies the client’s server environment with reliable data protection and recovery capabilities. Which will act as a protection against unforeseen threats, ensuring the integrity of their data, while enabling swift file restoration with minimal data loss.
Execution:
To prevent such incidents in the future, we recommended the implementation of a reliable backup solution to safeguard their data and mitigate the impact of potential ransomware attacks or accidental file deletions.
